ORIGIN
Skin & Bone grew out of an investigation into the visual landscape of an abandoned hat factory in Richmond, Virginia. Inspired by the warehouse's industrial architecture, Skin & Bone pieces apply repeating grids to strong, simple materials, creating structures that are functional and beautiful without superficial ornament. The resulting pieces are modern, wearable sculpture.
MATERIAL
Skin & Bone pieces are made with 100% wool felt produced in the USA, hand dyed and constructed with care by Anne Jordan in her Richmond studio. Wool felt is a natural, durable non-woven fabric. Skin & Bone pieces are cozy and sturdy, yet lightweight so they are easy to wear. To care for wool felt, spot clean with cold water and blot dry.
